Save Our Sea Project
Protecting Our Sea's Future: Join the Movement
Our marine life faces a critical threat due to human negligence. Pollution, primarily originating from land-based sources, is wreaking havoc on the Red Sea’s delicate ecosystem. Residential, industrial, and agricultural waste, plastics, and invasive organisms are entering our seas and causing profound harm. The consequences of marine debris, plastic pollution, nutrient overload, toxins, and underwater noise are increasingly evident. Among these, plastic pollution has emerged as a major concern, significantly impacting the Gulf of Aqaba.
The Red Sea, with its rich biodiversity and world-renowned diving spots, is a precious resource attracting tourists globally. To safeguard this vibrant underwater world and combat the loss of biodiversity and coral health, Aqaba Leaders Dive Center proudly presents the SAVE OUR SEA project.
Our Mission
SAVE OUR SEA is not just a project; it’s a call to action. Our mission is to unite efforts and create a cleaner, healthier marine environment. By addressing the pollution directly and engaging the community, we aim to restore the natural beauty and productivity of our sea.
Get Involved
We believe that to truly understand and address the issue, you need to experience it. As Jacques Cousteau famously said, “The best way to observe a fish is to become a fish.” Through the SAVE OUR SEA project, new volunteers can immerse themselves in the underwater world, contributing to our cleanup efforts while gaining invaluable diving experience.
